Fort Lee Film Commission’s Reel Jersey Girls Women’s History Month Film Festival in March at the Fort Lee Public Library

The Fort Lee Film Commission and the Fort Lee Public Library present a month long film festival dedicated to the women filmmakers, from the pioneers of the early days of cinema in Fort Lee up to a modern young filmmaker of today. The films we screen on March 1st, March 8th and March 15th were all produced and filmed in Fort Lee studios and in Fort Lee locations. Our March 8th program centers on the first woman filmmaker in world cinema history, Alice Guy Blaché, who built her Solax studio in Fort Lee in 1912 where she produced, wrote and directed hundreds of films before women in this nation had the right to vote.

Dates all Wednesdays at 7pm: Wednesday, March 1, 8, 15 & 22
