“Woman with a Movie Camera: Alice Guy Blaché Symposium,” was held at the Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Film Center, New York University, 36 East 8th Street, New York.  The event was co-sponsored by the Whitney’s Education Department and the Department of Cinema Studies, Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.

A major film Retrospective and other events featuring the work of Alice Guy Blaché, will be held from September 2009 through January 2010 in venues such as The Whitney Museum of Art, MOMA, the Brooklyn Fine Arts Museum and other venues.
